Obituary

MADISON-Richard K. "Rick" Hosking, age 53, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at HospiceCare in Fitchburg. He was born on March 1, 1958, in Howell, Mich., the son of Clayton and Martha (Panich) Hosking. He married Kristine Tompkins on Sept. 20, 1995, in Madison. Rick worked for Findorff Construction and loved to golf. He is survived by his wife, Kristine; daughter, Jordan; brothers, Jim (Sue), Don (Susie), David (Wilma), Dale (Jeanne), John, and Brian; sisters-in-law, Ida Mae Hosking and Vi Hosking; best friends, Bernie and Darcy Ellestad; several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bob; and step-mother, Mary. A visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2011. Burial will be held at Highland Memory Gardens, 3054 Hwy BB, Cottage Grove, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2011. Memorials may be made to HospiceCare Inc., 5395 E. Rick brought much joy to me and my family and friends. He was a very special person. His sense of humor and love of life was always apparent to those who knew him. Please accept my sincere sympathy and condolences.

Kris, Jordan and family. I am so sorry for your loss. I feel so honored to have had the opportunity to have known such a good man. Rick was a special person, had a great sense of humor and always made me laugh when I would see him. He will be greatly missed! You are all in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
