Michael Anthony Meyskens

MADISON-Michael Anthony Meyskens, age 62, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2011, at his home. Mike was born on Dec. 15, 1949, in Evanston, Ill., the son of Elmer and Delores "Dora" (Rake) Meyskens. His favorite memories were of spending summers at the family cottage on Higgins Lake, in Michigan. Mike was quite an artist and was also an auto enthusiast. He was an ironworker at Local 393 for many years. Mike was one of the "Best" at his craft. In the year 1970, he was wed to Nancy Holterman and they eventually had two children who are the surviving daughters, Christina Meyskens and Wendy Kratochvil; Christina has the support of her boyfriend, Bill Cooke, and Wendy has the support of her husband, Tim Kratochvil and their three children, Jack, Luke, and Olivia. Mike is further survived by his brother, Mark Meyskens; his sister, Marlene Kulas; his aunt and uncle, Jan and Bill Rake; and his cousin, Brian Rake.
