E. Michael 'Mike' Lemon

Lemon, E. Michael "Mike" MCFARLAND/MONONA - Mike Lemon, age 59, passed away unexpectedly, on Monday, March 28, 2011, of a heart attack. He was born on May 24, 1951, the son of Eugene and Betty (Arndt) Lemon. Mike graduated from Monona Grove High School in 1969. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Mike worked for 30 years at International Machinery Exchange, in Deerfield, as the Vice President of Operations. He enjoyed golfing, shooting pool, coin collecting, playing cards, especially euchre, and was a follower of all Badger and Packer games. Mike especially loved the Chicago Cubs and is still waiting for them to win the pennant. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, either feeding the birds or flower gardening. He also had a huge sweet tooth. Mike is survived by Lorna England, his significant other of 33 years, and her son; Jon England; siblings, Bonnie (Mike) Reigel, Bill Lemon, Louanne (Ron) Kelly, Kathy (Jim) Linden, Tim (Jodi) Lemon and Mark Lemon; nieces and nephews, Andy, Brian, Brenda, Kelli, Pete, Wendy, Heidi, Kevin, Jeremy, Christine, Samantha, Taylor and Hunter; and many great-nieces and great-nephews; best friend, Mike "Clutch" McCutcheon; and his faithful canine companion, Skyelor "Skye Dog". Mike was preceded in death by his parents; and a niece, Amanda Reigel. A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2011. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2011, and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
