Genevieve Tomlinson

MADISON/ARLINGTON - Genevieve L. Tomlinson, age 95, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 1, 2011 at Maplewood Nursing Home. She was born September 13, 1915 the daughter of Floyd E. and Leona (Fitzgerald) Worthing. On December 31, 1935 she was united in marriage to Jesse E. Tomlinson and her family was the most important part of her life. She was a member of Bashford United Methodist Church. Genevieve is survived by her daughters, Sue Tomlinson, Betty (Philip) Hanson and Kathy King; seven granchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse on March 20, 1998; son-in-law, Dale King; brother, Jim Worthing; and two sisters, Dorothy Berkypile and Joan Leistikow. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 4, 2011 at BASHFORD UNITED METHODIST CHURCH in Madison, with the Rev. T. Edmond White officiating. Visitation will be held from10:00 a.m. until the service at the church. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Hillside Cemetery in Poynette. The family would like to thank the staff at Maplewood for the care given to our Mom. We love you Mom and we will miss you.
