Haroldine M. Birkeland

MADISON-Haroldine M. Birkeland, age 91, went home to Jesus, George, Sr., and many others on Thursday, April 7, 2011. Haroldine married George R. Birkeland, Sr. on Nov. 1, 1935. Their son, George, Jr. married Maureen in 1961, and proceeded to give grandma four granchildren, Vicky (Mike) Fell, Valerie Boersma, Ole Birkeland, and Ginger (Anthony) Gjonnes; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister, Gloria (Ed) Schloemer-Beitz; sisters-in-law, Jean Schloemer and Dorthea Kahl; and many other extended family members . She was preceded in death by her husband, George, Sr. in 2003; four siblings; grandson-in-law, Paul; and great-grandson, Zacherie. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 11, 2011, with the Rev. Ron Dobie presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 10, 2011. Heaven is now her home. Til it is our turn we will miss you!!!
