Obituary
LODI - Leo Treinen, age 94, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 1, 2011. He was born on January 20, 1917 in the town of West Point, the son of Valentine and Barbara (Jansen) Treinen. On February 17, 1942 he was united in marriage to the former Theresa Esser and they farmed in the Lodi area for most of their lives. Leo is survived by his wife, Theresa Treinen; son, Bernard 'Barnie' Treinen; two daughters, Donna (Rueben) Markgraf and Joanne (Steve) Clarey; three grandchildren, Michael Treinen, Morgen Clarey and Matthias Clarey; two great-grandchildren, Samantha Treinen and Taylor Treinen; and two sisters, Byrdene Baker and Rose Mae Beers. He was preceded in death by his son, Valentine Treinen; a grandson, John; a great-granddaughter, Theresa; four brothers, Roman, Eugene, Joseph and Bernard Treinen; and a sister, Kathryn Patterson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at ST. PATRICK'S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Lodi, with Fr. Francisco Higuera officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the Mass at the church. Interment will be in the church cemetery

I want the whole family just how sorry I am for your loss. Leo was a family friend for many years and I know that he and Bud will be playing Euchre together again. I'm sorry that I won't be there to see him but I'll stop to see him when I return to Lodi. Ya'll take care and know I'm thinking of you and my prayers are with you.
