Richard L. 'Rick' Dilley

FITCHBURG- Richard L. "Rick" Dilley, age 54, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2011, as a result of a motorcycle accident. He was born on April 17, 1957, in Madison, the son of Marvin Sr. And Noreene (Tofthagen) Dilley. He served in the U.S. Army for four years. Rick married Rhonda Eith on July 2, 1988, on the Dilley family farm. He worked for the Department of Revenue since 1988, as a tax specialist. He was involved with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, providing help for the needy. Rick was instrumental in bringing the program back to life, and also won a national award for his efforts. He had a love of motorcycles, cars, and landscaping their yard. Rick enjoyed spending time with his family, his cats (Elmo, Milo, Mojo, Rojo, and Rango), weightlifting everyday, and his cookouts. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda; children, Joshua, Rachael (Brad) Bergen, and Richard Jr; sisters, Sherry (Steve) Magli, Lori (Gene) Beattie, Barbara (Bob) Fahrenkopf, and Tammy (Larry) Douma; brother, Marvin Jr. (Joanne); mother-in-law, Sheila Eith; brother-in-law, Michael (Becky) Eith; and sisters-in-law, Teresa (Greg) Karn and Gloria Dilley. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and other relatives and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Bill Dilley.
