Beulah Luetscher

LODI - Beulah Boots Luetscher, 85, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2011 after a recent surgery for a ruptured aortic aneurysm. Boots was born on February 2, 1926 in Elroy, Wi. to Carl and Susie (Jenson) Anderson. She was the youngest of eight children. Boots was united in marriage to Henry Luetscher on March 15, 1947, and they made their home in Lodi. Boots liked to tell people that she was the homeowner who had lived in her neighborhood the longest 59 years in the same house! Boots was a stay-at-home mother when her two children were young, and later worked at Clarks grocery store and at Bushnells Jewelry store in Lodi. Throughout the years, Boots was involved with Queen Esther Chapter, the American Legion Auxiliary, First Lutheran Churchs Rachel circle, and Lodis Cro-Knit Guild. She also enjoyed playing bridge, bowling, counted cross stitch, knitting, crocheting, and cross word puzzles. Boots loved children of all ages and was affectionately known as Grandma Bootsie to many around Lodi. Boots is survived by her two loving children: Thomas (Audrey) of Prairie du Sac, and Rita of Lodi. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins. Boots was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Henry in 1991, her brothers Earl, John, Ray, Clarence, and James Anderson and her sisters Myrtle Gonzagowski and Vera Felland. She was also preceded in death by sisters-in-law Jessie, Charlotte, Doris, and Lizzetta Anderson as well as brothers-in-law Joe Gonzagowski and Ray Felland. The funeral service for Boots will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH in Lodi. Pastor Michael Lee will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m.until the time of service. Private burial services with be held at Dekorra Lutheran Cemetery.
