Obituary
MADISON- Eddie Pantell Howler, master musician, philosopher and collector passed away on June 20th, 2011, at the Don and Marilyn Hospice Center in Madison, WI. He was born on New Years Eve 1952 in Chicago to Gus and Christine (Pantelakis) Howler and resided in the Madison area, San Francisco and Austin TX. Eddie was affectionately called \"Greek\" as a young adult and was proud of his heritage and extensive knowledge of it\'s history and archaeology. Eddie had a lifelong love affair with music and was a skilled musician, as well as a studio technician. He recently demonstrated his skills by restoring tapes from the mid 1960\'s for \"The Aristocracy\". He recorded one album in Austin, TX with his band Skank and wrote and recorded songs for some of Austin\'s most noted musicians. He was also engaged in teaching at the time of his death. Eddie will be missed by his mother, Christine Walls; sister, Barbara Coffey; cousins, Pat and Mike Mc Carthy; good friend, Susan Simonson; and original music teacher and role model; Doug Scheuerell; as well as many other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Gus; nephew Jimmy Geier; and beloved dogs, Celery, Della and Kayla. Visitation will take place at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church at 11 N 7th St, in Madison from 12-1p on Tuesday June 28th with services to follow at 1p. Interment will take place at Sun Prairie Memory Gardens. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Eddie\'s life, afterwards, at the Atlantis Taverna, 239 Main St in Sun Prairie. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate contributions to help defray funeral expenses.

Cemetery:
Interment will take place at Sun Prairie Memory Gardens. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Eddie\'s life, afterwards, at the Atlantis Taverna, 239 Main St in Sun Prairie.
