Orley, Albert “Al” J. MCFARLAND/MADISON- Albert “Al” J. Orley, age 76, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011, surrounded by his family. He was born on Aug. 22, 1934, the son of Albert Sr. and Lucille Orley, and grew up on his family farm in Stephenson, Mich. Al married Sylvia Wilke on Oct. 26, 1984. He proudly served in the US Marines as a master gunner. Following his retirement from the military, Al drove semi and then began working for Brown Roofing Company. He was a member of Arbor Covenant Church. Al enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing horse shoes and bingo. He loved spending time with his family and his two poodles. Al is survived by his wife, Sylvia Orley; daughter, Susan (Tim Christofferson) Andreae; sons, Rikki Andreae and Bobby Chat (whom Al thought of as a son); grandchildren, Michael Lee, Brianna Christofferson, Tommy Gilbertson and Tim and Melissa; great-grandchildren, Trinity and Caden; and three siblings, James Orley, Nancy Orley and Elaine Welcher. He was preceded in death by his parents; and nine siblings. Funeral services will be held at ARBOR COVENANT CHURCH, 2509 McDivitt Road, Madison, at 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 19, 2011, with the Rev. Peter Morris presiding. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the church from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service on Friday. Cemetery: Highland Memory Gardens Funeral services will be held at ARBOR COVENANT CHURCH, 2509 McDivitt Road, Madison, at 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 19, 2011, with the Rev. Peter Morris presiding.
