Delores Ann 'Dee' Newburg

Madison-Delores Ann “Dee” Newburg, age 77, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2011, at her home. Dee was born in Caledonia, MN, on September 23, 1933, the daughter of Albert and Luella (Busitsky) Schroeder. She married Arlan Newburg on April 21, 1956 in LaCrosse, WI. Dee was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. She was employed by LaCrosse Footwear for many years. Dee enjoyed knitting, sewing, cooking, playing Euchre, and attending her grandkids activities. She is survived by her children: Mark (Wendy) Newburg of Madison, Dr. Julie (Pat Bralick) Newburg of Pueblo, CO, Mike (Sue) Newburg of Maple Grove, MN, Kent (Stephanie) Newburg of Farmington, MN; 7 grandchildren, Cory, Nicholas, Alex, Alyssa, Kyra, Mitchell and Danica; 3 siblings, Juanita Kohlmeyer, Kermit (Betty) Schroeder, Leo (Kathy) Schroeder, and nieces, nephews and many friends.Dee was preceded in death by her parents and husband Arlan in July 2008. Memorial services will be held at ST. THOMAS AQUINAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 602 Everglade Drive, Madison, at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, August 19, 2011, with Monsignor Donn Heiar presiding. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Bangor, WI, at a later date. A visitation will be held on Friday, from 5:00 p.m. until time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be donated to Madison youth athletics or the American Heart Association, 2850 Dairy Drive Suite 300, Madison, WI 53718.
