Obituary

DEFOREST - Lloyd M. Lewison, age 93, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at the Lodi Good Samaritan Center. Lloyd was born on November 15, 1917 the son of Lewis and Ada (Monson) Lewison. He served as a 1st Lt. in the U.S. Army Air Corp. during World War II. Lloyd worked as a credit manager for 37 years at Oscar Mayer Co. On October 5, 1944 he was united in marriage to the former Mary Keenan and she preceded him in death on May 14, 2001. He was a very active member of St. Olaf's Catholic Church and loved singing with the choir. Music was a big part of his life and he enjoyed performing with the RSVP group. Lloyd is survived by his son, Peter Lewison; two sisters, June Harm and Alice Erickson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; and a sister, Ruth Harm. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at ST. OLAF'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 623 Jefferson Street in DeForest, with Fr. Robert Butz officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to St. Olaf's Catholic Church. The family would like to thank the staff at the Lodi Good Samaritan Center for the wonderful care given to Lloyd.

Llyod "Papa" will be missed. I was one of his nurse's aides at Lodi Good Samaritan Society and he was always a pleasure to care for , many times singing with us on rounds..
