Lorna Grace (Thompson) Lehman

VERONA- Lorna Grace (Thompson) Lehman died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011. Lorna was born on Nov. 3, 1913, in the town of Verona to Pearl (Bryan) and Gabriel Thompson. She graduated from Verona High School in 1931. As a young girl, Lorna worked as a caretaker and housekeeper to many residents in Madison. She also worked at the University of Wisconsin- Madison Residence Halls for eight years. She enjoyed dancing and singing and getting together with people with whom she worked. While out doing these enjoyable things, she met her future husband, whom she married on May 10, 1939, and they continued enjoying dancing throughout their life together. She and her husband farmed their land, raising cattle and poultry. Lorna was preceded in death by her husband, Herman; parents; and a brother, Gilman Thompson. Lorna was an animal lover from day one and especially enjoyed all her cats and named them all names that fittingly suited their character. Funeral services will be held at SPRINGDALE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2752 Town Hall Road, Mount Horeb, at 11 a.m., on Friday, Sept. 23, 2011.
