Lloyd W. Weidemann

SAUK CITY/LODI - Lloyd W. Weidemann, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011, after a courageous battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis(Lou Gehrig’s disease). He was born on May 12, 1943, in Waunakee, the son of Oscar and Vivian (Guethlein) Weidemann. After graduating from Sauk Prairie High School in 1961, Lloyd earned his bachelors of science degree in Agriculture from the UW-Madison. With his sense of loyalty to his country, Lloyd served in the U.S. Army from 1966 through 1968. Upon returning to the area, he farmed in the Roxbury/Dane area. Farming and hunting were truly Lloyds passions devoting most of his time to both. He was a life-long member of the National Rifle Assn., the North American Hunting Club and the Sauk Praire Trap and Skeet Club. In addition to his father, Oscar; survivors include his sister, Linda (Tim) Martinson; his niece, Angela (Jason) Hodsdon and their son, Jeromey; his nephew, David Hoerz; his step-niece, Melissa Martinson; his step-nephew, Tory Martinson and Tory\'s son, Trent; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother. Commital services with military rites will be at GARDEN BLUFF CEMETERY, County Rd. J, Lodi, at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 10, 2011. A Celebration of Lloyd’s Life will be at the SAUK PRAIRE TRAP AND SKEET CLUB, E11102 Sauk Prairie Rd., Prairie du Sac, from noon until 3:00 pm on Monday, Oct. 10, 2011.
