Obituary

Levy, Anthony W. “Tony” MADISON-Anthony W. “Tony” Levy slipped away peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, at Harmony Living Center. Edward and Stacha (Novy) Levy of Hillsboro welcomed their second son, Tony, on Sept. 7, 1923. He joined siblings, Thelma, Adolph and Sophie. Tony worked in several occupations during his life, including 37 years with Oscar Mayer. Tony was a quiet, thoughtful, soft-spoken, reflective individual. He shared his love of cars with anyone. Tony enjoyed listening to music and reading the newspaper. He also enjoyed sharing his love of food with family and friends at his favorite restaurant. Tony was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. Tony is survived by his sister, Thelma Libansky of Hillsboro; nieces, nephews, and other family members. His brother, Adolph; sister, Sophie Kouba; along with brothers-in-law, Albert Kouba and Ed Libansky; sister-in-law, Marcy Levy; and other family and special friends preceded him in death. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2450 Atwood Ave., Madison, at 11 a.m., on Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, with Monsignor Michael Hippee presiding. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass on Friday. Tony’s family wishes to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at Harmony Living Center and the “Green Team” from HospiceCare for their compassionate care and support. We are sad to learn of Tony's passing and send our sympathies to his family. We enjoyed dancing with Tony and Lillian. They were both great club members. Tony was an active club member from 1996 to 2002. May the Lord be with you, Jim & Lois Benes Westport Squares Historian
