Rick Johnson

LODI-Rickey D. 'Rick' Johnson, age 59, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2011 in Lodi. He was born on July 30, 1952, in Portage, the son of Willard and Beatrice (Sutfin) Johnson. Rick was a graduate of Lodi High School and had served in the National Guard. He owned Johnson Landscaping with his nephew, Jeff Johnson and enjoyed working as a civil engineer. Rick was a volunteer for the Lodi Fire Department for many years and also served as Fire Chief for the City of Lodi. He was an avid golfer and fisherman, truly enjoyed being a Packer, Brewer and Badger fan, but treasured most the time spent with his daughter and his many friends. Rick is survived by his daughter, Jenna (Zach) Jorgensen of Seattle, Washington; two brothers, Willard (Patricia) Johnson, Jr., Lawrence (Karen) Johnson; two sisters, Suzanne Teegarden, Carrie (Rick) Findora and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Nancy Miller. An informal Celebration of Rick's Life will be held at the HAMRE GUNDERSON FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 157 s. Main Street, Lodi at 7:00 PM on Friday, October 21, 2011, with Pastor Mike Lee presiding. Friends may call on Friday from 4:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home
