Richard H. “Dick” Breiby

SAUK CITY-Richard H. “Dick” Breiby, age 73, of Sauk City passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011. He was born on April 30, 1938, in Madison, the son of Alfred and Dorothy (Pahl) Breiby. After graduating from Madison East High School, Dick served in the U.S. Air Force. Dick was united in marriage to Maria Ballesta on Dec. 18, 1961, in Spain. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 31 years before his retirement in 1992. Dick was an avid Dodgers, Packers and Elvis Presley Fan. He is survived by his wife, Maria of Sauk City; son, Richard “Rick” Breiby of Sauk City; four daughters, Debra (Tracy) Myers of Conifer, Colo., Mary (Mike) Allen of Madison, Christy (Jimmy) Hays of Cross Plains, and Heidi (Tony) Dickerson of Madison; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert (Audrey) of Madison and Jerry (Ann) of Marshall; six nieces and nephews; and many friends and relatives. Dick was preceded in death by his parents; and his dog, Lola. A Memorial Gathering will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 11a.m. until 1 p.m., on Monday, Dec. 26, 2011.
