I arrived in 5th grade, and knew immediately that I had missed some fun in 4th grade. She is also remembered for her work with the League of Women Voters. Dear Lisa and Fred, I just learned from my sister, Cynthia, of your mother's death. I'm glad she lived to the age of 92 AND was active and well (I gather) right up to her death, and apparently didn't suffer at the end. Still, a loss is a loss, and I'm sure you both miss her very much. I remember her as kind and wise, and oh so capable, handling the tragedy of her husband's death with such grace and dignity.
