Obituary
MADISON-Patricia A. “Pat” Gavigan, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012, in her home surrounded by her family. She was born on May 23, 1935, at home in Mineral Point, delivered by her Aunt Bea. Pat is the daughter of Clyde and Tassie (Toay) Amenda. She met Jack Gavigan at Moonlight Gardens and they were married soon after. Pat operated an in-home daycare for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Pat loved watching television, and was also an avid reader. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Gavigan (Tom Mazzara); grandchildren, Samantha Mazzara, Lucy Gavigan, and Sara Gavigan (fiancé, Larry Nicholson); great-grandchildren, Seth, Zander, and Ava; brother, Bill (Janet) Amenda; niece, Tina (Jason) Walrack; great-niece, Sasha; and great-nephews, Deven and Jaron. She was preceded in death by her husband; and son, Tom. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at noon on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Sunday. A special thank you to the staff at Willows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and St. Mary’s Hospital for their excellent care, and also Agrace HospiceCare.

Dear Gavigan family,
So sorry to hear of mom's passing. I really enjoyed seeing her all the time when she came into the dental office were I was the receptionist. She was one of my "special" people who I enjoyed. My prayers are with you at this time.
