Elizabeth A. “Betty” Lunde

MADISON-Elizabeth A. “Betty” Lunde, age 79, of Madison, passed away on Monday, March 5, 2012. She was born on Dec. 17, 1932, in Madison, the daughter of Albert and Astrid (Andersson) Lindquist. Betty graduated from Eagle River High School. She was united in marriage to Alvin Lunde on Sept. 18, 1954. Betty worked in local restaurants for many years. She was a Girl Scout leader, enjoyed teaching ceramics, both in classes and to her grandchildren, and was very active at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, including Ruth Circle. Together, Betty and Alvin loved traveling, from short bus trips to traveling across country. Betty is survived by her four children, Deanna (Jeff) Theisen of Sun Prairie, David (Beth) Lunde of Cottage Grove, Dawn (Chris) Malin of Cross Plains, and Darla Srb of Sun Prairie; six grandchildren, Andrea and Rebecca Theisen, Andrew and Kayla Lunde and Ashley and Nicole Srb; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin; parents; and brother, Albert Lindquist Jr. Funeral services will be held at HOLY CROSS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2670 Milwaukee St., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 12, 2012, with the Rev. Bernt Tweit presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Betty’s name to Holy Cross Lutheran Church Relocation Fund or Agrace HospiceCare. The family wishes to extend their thanks to Agrace HospiceCare and Heritage Memory Care for all of their wonderful care and support. Cemetery: Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park.
