Phyllis Ruth (Pinkerton) Pratt

My mother Dolores Smith Hruby was a friend of "Pinky" (my mother was "Smitty") where both studied piano at UW-Madison. My mother was a classical player. I am the author of award winning young adult and children's books and I'm presently writing a memoir about my dance career. I looked up Phyllis Pinkerton and found this as well as her discography. I love that she recorded with the great Charles Mingus. My husband, Morgan Powell, is a fine jazz trombone player, and he's certainly impressed as well.
