Janet, Melanie, Greg and girls, Stephanie & Brighton, My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Melanie & Stephanie, your Dad was a very likable guy...from the 1st campout that I attended with John, he always made me feel welcome, I enjoyed his somewhat off-handed humor, and the 'tours of the countryside' (a.k.a getting lost on the backroads) when him, Janet, John & myself took off on Saturday morning's during camping weekends! Somehow, he always made it look like he knew exactly where he was going! Treasure the memories you two, hold them close to your hearts, share them with your children and grandchildren someday. Janet...I am sorry for your loss. It is not often that two people can find a love & true friendship like yours & Vern's. It may seem like only a few years that you had together, but what beautiful times you had and the memories you made together! Vern was a good friend, and the times we all shared will always be remembered. Take care & God bless to all of you.... Maribeth

Melanie and family - my sympathy to you on the loss of your father. I worked with your dad (and you) at both the Concourse Hotel and Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce. I remember how much he enjoyed going camping and spending time with his family. May all your memories be good one. Bonnie McCloskey
