Obituary

MADISON/ POYNETTE - William H. “Big Bill” Treinen, age 67, passed away unexpectedly, on Saturday, April 7, 2012, at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was born on Nov. 27, 1944, in Lodi, the son of Joe and Linda (Cline) Treinen. Bill retired after 32 years with the City of Madison Park/Forestry Department. Bill enjoyed spending time with his family and friends especially his grandchildren. He and his pony “Little Joe” and his donkey “Elvis” could be seen entertaining adults and children with horse and buggy rides, Bill was well known for his cooking especially “wild game feeds”, he was well known and highly respected by many. Bill was a single parent since 1985, he was a great father and will be deeply missed by his children, Billy (Cindi), Scott (Rhonda), Charlie (Sarah) and Katie (Jerry Lambert); his grandchildren, Justin, Austin, Lindsay, Savannah, Conner, Taylar, Jason, Madilynn, Joseph and Nathan; his great-granddaughters, Michelle and Rachael; his siblings, Edith (Merlin) Fahrenkampf, Donny (Fran) Treinen, Patsy (Richard) Burns, Sharon Holloway and Denny (Linda) Treinen. He is further survived by many nephews, nieces, friends and his beloved pony, Little Joe. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Bob. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2012, at 11 a.m. at ST. PATRICK’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 521 Fair St., Lodi. Burial will be held in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass at church. The family would like to thank Josh Steinhorst and all the friends and family who have helped Bill over the years, as well as the staff at St. Mary’s MICU for the care they gave Bill. Well Bill, This is when we say goodby for now. Were going to miss your generosity with our family,friends, and the good care you have taken with all our animals. The B-P will not be the same without your morning stories, and the experiences you have dealt with these past years. The grandkids have lost one heck of a Grampa.
