Have you ever sat in the silence of a morning sunrise, as the birds’ begin to sing, and the sky was so beautiful, that you believed it to be created from a color pallet of love by God and painted by angel wings? It is on such beautiful mornings that I will think of Betty, and her charming smile.

Every March I looked forward to seeing Jim and Betty here in AZ. For almost the entire month, people come in from all over the country for Spring Training. We all gather at our favorite watering hole which was next door to Jim and Betty's hotel. Seeing Jim and Betty stroll in meant that March was truly here! They made friends with everyone they meant. I am so thankful to have known Betty for all of these years. She is a very special lady. I loved to hear her laugh-it was contagious. Every year we would go to breakfast, at least once, with Jim and Betty. I cherish those memories and all the time we spent together. I am so grateful I was able to speak with Betty, by phone, this March. I did, however, make the mistake of calling while the beloved Badgers were in an NCAA tournament game, with only a few seconds left to play. Needless to say, I was instructed to call back after the game!!! While I am very sad today the one good thing to happen was watching the memorial video. Seeing pictures of their beautiful family was so nice and lifted my spirits. Betty always spoke about their family and spoke of them with such pride. The video is priceless. And I never knew Jim had hair!!! I will miss you Betty. Thank you for being a part of my life.
