Obituary
Landsness, Gordon L. MADISON-Gordon L. Landsness, age 88, of Madison, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, May 24, 2012, from respiratory failure. He was born on Aug. 7, 1923, in Madison, the son of Lars and Selma Landsness. Gordon married Pat Clancy in Spokane, Wash., on Aug. 1, 1943. He entered the U.S. Air Force at the age of 18 and served for 20 years. He flew heavy bombers in World War II and Korea. Gordon worked five years in aerospace and worked as Director of Maintenance and Grounds for Sacramento State University in California for 16 years. Gordon retired and moved to Phoenix, Ariz., where he enjoyed golf and traveling in his motor home. He moved to Attic Angel Place in Madison where he enjoyed being near family again. Gordon is survived by his wife, Patricia Landsness; two grandsons, Erik and Robert; twin great-grandchildren, George and Mackenzie; two sisters, Gladys (Philip) Gorman and Grace Olson and many nieces and nephews. Gordon was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, David. Memorial services will be held at ATTIC ANGEL PLACE,8301 Old Sauk Road, Middleton at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 29, 2012. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Attic Angel Place or Agrace HospiceCare, Inc.
