Mike D. Heidemann

MADISON – Michael “Mike” David Heidemann, age 57, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by his family and many friends. Mike, son of Donald and Clair “Pat” (Bulmer) Heidemann, was born September 8, 1954, in Chicago, Ill. He was raised in Wisconsin Rapids and graduated from Lincoln High School before moving to Madison. He was united in marriage to his soul mate and best friend, Tracy Kluender of Baraboo on Nov. 5, 1988. Mike was an amazing husband and father, who was fiercely loyal and protective of his family. He enjoyed spending his free time traveling and camping and was always looking forward to his next adventure. He was able to fulfill his dreams of owning a Corvette, Harley Davidson motorcycles for his wife and himself, and a motor home in which they had planned to retire and travel the countryside. Mike was employed at AGL in DeForest, Accuweb in Madison, and GRANT Communications in Madison. Mike is survived by his wife; Tracy, daughters, Christina (Robert) Shepard and Stephanie (Jason Boyd) Heidemann, both of Madison; his mother, Clair “Pat” Heidemann of Wisconsin Rapids; sister, Carrie (Randy) Kaddatz of Wisconsin Rapids; and much extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Heidemann. A Memorial Service for Mike will be held at GOOD SHEPHERD LUTHERAN CHURCH, 7291 County Hwy PD, Verona (west campus) at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2012, with Pastor Tim Nybroten officiating. Interment will follow the service at Highland Memory Gardens in Madison. Visitation will be at GUNDERSON FITCHBURG FUNERAL HOME, 2950 Chapel Valley Road, Fitchburg, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, June 29, 2012 and also from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the church. Upon special request of the family, the visitation will be casual dress with Harley, Packer, or Corvette attire. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at St. Mary’s Hospital for all the wonderful care given during his stay. They also express gratitude to all family, friends, and co-workers who have reached out during these times. Cemetery: Interment will follow the service at Highland Memory Gardens in Madison.
