Theresa B. Murphy

MIDDLETON-Theresa B. Murphy, age 87, of Middleton, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Attic Angel Place. She was born on March 1, 1925, in Middleton, the daughter of Adam and Mary (Annen) Ripp. She married Wayne Murphy on Sept. 10, 1949, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pine Bluff. Theresa loved gardening and flowers. She was a vendor at the Dane County Farmer’s Market, where she sold beautiful flower arrangements for 31 years. Theresa was a devoted wife and mother, and she treasured the time she spent with her family. She is survived by her four children, John (Sue) Murphy, Dale (Martha) Murphy, Shawn Murphy, and Dawn Murphy; and sister, Ottilia Austin. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne in 2009; and nine siblings. Funeral services will be held at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE, 401 S. Owen Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, with Monsignor Kenneth Fiedler presiding. Burial will be at St. Bernards Cemetery. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Avenue, Middleton, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. , with a rosary service at 7 p.m., on Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, and also at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday. Cemetery: Burial will be at St. Bernards Cemetery.
