Christopher D. 'Chris' Hammonds

MADISON-Christopher D. “Chris” Hammonds, age 46, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012. Chris was born April 21, 1966, in Madison, the son of David Hammonds and Marian Sullins. He grew up in Madison around loving and supportive family and friends. Chris was employed at Hammonds Apartment Rental, LLC as a property representative. He had a flare for writing and with this gift; he touched many through his letters of love and poetry. Chris had conflicts in his life, but he never gave up on his love of God and family. He touched many lives, and he will be missed by all who loved and cared for him. Chris is survived by his wife, Julie; daughter, Christine, (the love of his life); father, David (A.J.), mother, Marian (Robert) Sullins; grandmother, Marguree Shuler; two loving sisters, Theresa Hammonds and Gina (Carl) Bartee; nieces, Johanna and Kendall; nephew, Jerrod; special friends, Jill and her family; as well as many uncles, aunts, and cousins. Funeral services for Christopher will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 10, 2012. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, and from 9 a.m. until the time of the services on Monday at the funeral home.
