Obituary

MADISON-Thomas “Tom” J. O’Connor, age 74, of Madison, passed away and went to join his wife on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, at the V.A. Hospital. He was born on Jan. 16, 1938, in Madison, the son of James and Janet (Hegge) O’Connor. Tom married Joyce Hanson on March 7, 1964, in Keyeser. He worked for Stoughton Hospital for 21 years. Tom is survived by his children, Timothy (Tennille), Julie, Michael (Tera), and Patrick; six grandchildren, Aidan, Elaina, Liam, Adam, Jonah, and Clodagh; siblings, James O’Connor, Terry (Judy) Winters, Patrick O’Connor, Peggy (John) Marks, Mickey (Dick) Lindquist, Kathi O’Connor, and Kitty (Bill) Brudos; many nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and brother, Jack. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL HOME, 1358 Hwy 51, Stoughton, at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, with Daniel Biddick presiding. I remember working with Tom at Stoughton Hospital when I was in highschool. He was always so nice...always had a smile. Sorry to hear of his passing. Hope you as a family are doing well during this emotional time.
