Obituary

SUN PRAIRIE-Joseph C. “Joe” Glassner, age 86, of Sun Prairie, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at Meriter Hospital in Madison. He was born on Dec. 19, 1926, in Chicago, Ill., the son of Julius and Fannie (Moskowitz) Glassner. Joe married Nancy Brown on Jan. 27, 1995, at Prince of Peace in Elk Grove Village, Ill. Joe was a graduate of Sullivan High School in Chicago. After his graduation, he went into the Army and spent one year as part of the occupation forces in Japan. Joseph worked as a machinist for Rexnord in Wheeling, Ill. He and Nancy spent several years in Elk Grove Village prior to moving to Henderson, Nev. They have resided in Sun Prairie for the past 9 years. Joe had five children from a previous marriage. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading articles about the aerospace industry. Joe is survived by his wife of 17 years, Nancy; children, Nancy, Donna, Cheryl, and Joseph; and Nancy’s children, Mary Drews, John Harris, and Gloria Micklos. No services will be held. Nancy I just learned of Joe's passing. I worked with Joe for a number of years at Rexnord and Just the other day we were talking about him. I know he will be missed by all who knew him. Please know I will keep you and his family in my prayers. Chuck McFarlin

Joe was a hekuva nice guy and fun to be around. I'm sure he will be missed by many. My condelnces to his famile and close friends. Rest in peace Joe.
