Obituary
MONONA/MADISON-Marie Metry, age 96, passed away peacefully at Meriter Hospital on Friday, Feb. 2, 2013. A memorial service will be held at MONONA UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 606 Nichols Rd., Monona, at 12:00pm on Saturday, February 9, 2013. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00AM until the time of service on Saturday. Please bring a side dish, bread, or dessert to share at a potluck following the service.
Cemetery:
Private burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made in Marie’s name to Monona United Methodist Church, 606 Nichols Rd., Monona.

My memories of Marie are of her being such a great friend to my mother, Muriel Bowers. They talked every day and Marie would walk up to mom's house several times a week to visit and have a cup of tea. Thanks, Marie for all your caring.

She will be greatly missed. When I grew up on Nichols road she was one of the sweetest women known. She also had a very nice word to say to all. I would run into once and awhile and she would always remember me. What a memory.

I am so sory to hearing of the passing of Marie. I met Marie through the Monona Clinic where I drew her blood. We were friend outside of my work also. Marie had a zest for life and to help,others all the time. Marie had a great energy for life and her church. She was so proud of her grandchildren! Marie will be so very misses in this world and by me!

A Christian, gracious and loving woman, wife, mother and dear family friend has passed away. Marie was a true friend and member of the Hepler Family. It will be 20 years this 2013 since 'Hep', our Father, and 15 years since Gloria, our Mother, passed away. Our Parents and Marie were great friends and shared many, many wonderful times together. Gloria and Marie worked together at Stark Realty for many years. Marie was always ready and willing to help Jackie and Bob with watching Katie and Laura on many occasions when needed. The tears of sorrow and grief have returned with Marie's passing, but our family all spoke about how we know that Gloria and Hep are there to greet her into The Lord's Eternal Kingdom, Paradise, Eternal Promise. We Love You Marie. RIP Marie Metry.
