Obituary
My Dear Family and Friends, When you read this you will know that I am rejoicing in heaven with my Lord. My first and last desire is to see you in heaven and that you would know our Lord Jesus Christ as I do. The greatest blessing you will ever have is to walk with Jesus while you are here on earth. Do not cry for me for I have arrived at my Father’s house where Jesus has prepared for me a mansion in glory. I entered into heaven on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, surrounded by family. I was born to earth as the child of Gladys and Louis Larson on March 6, 1926, in Madison. I was preceded in death by my parents; and a brother, Larry Larson. Surviving siblings are Marvin Larson, Delores Smith, and Mary Stephenson all of Madison. The Lord blessed me with four beautiful children. My children were the treasures of my life. Added to my treasure chest, I was blessed with 12 grandchildren (the jewels of my heart); and 20 great-grandchildren (the sparkling diamonds of my soul). I was employed by Westinghouse Electric after attending East High School. When my children were born it was a great joy for me to be a stay-at-home mother. I later graduated from MATC with a business degree in business administration-secretarial science. After graduation, I was employed by Wisconsin Indian Legal Services Law Offices, UW-Madison, and Stark Realty. In 1978, I began attending City Church, aka MGT. My church family had become the nucleus of my life over the past several years and they had provided love, prayer, emotional support, strength, and great joy to me. I’ll be waiting at heaven’s door to greet each of you personally and we will rejoice together. “Oh! What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see. When I look upon His face, the one who saved me by His grace. And He takes me by the hand and leads me to the promise land. Oh! What a day, glorious day that will be.” To My Children, James M. Steinle, my first born son, as I write these words my love for you is so deep because we came through Hell together. In the past years, I have felt your love return to me in abundance; Jill K. Steinle, my first born daughter; Jan E. Steinle, my beloved daughter, I only wish I had understood your illness. I have carried you in my heart since you had gone from this earth; and Jack L. Nordness, my little “Jackie”, you are, and ever will be, my baby. You have overcome great physical difficulties and I will always admire your fortitude and integrity. I salute all my children because you have succeeded over great obstacles. I am so proud of each of you. My Treasure Box (My grandchildren and 12 priceless jewels), Steffanie Steinle Kim (Chol), my loyal friend, so full of love, and always supportive; Jenny Rose Patterson (Ron), my soccer champ, always kind and loving; Lucas Dennis (Kate), great dad, always dedicated and great gift of gab; Chad Steinle (Leslie), as an infant I showed you the moon and spoke of Jesus. You are devoted dad and a man of perseverance; Jessica Bearden (Lane), a great mom, always loving and caring; Joshua Steinle, ten percent angel, a giver to those in need; Amberly Steinle, caring and knows how to make others feel good. I admired your perseverance; Ashley Lynn Steinle (Paul), beautiful spirit and courageous; Brenda Raimond, I admired your sincerity, honesty and openness; Debbie McCosky (Don), so welcoming, full of life, and a great mom; Kaia Marie Ortego, so loving, great inner-strength, and always there for me; Benjamin Nordness, loving and tenderhearted, such a gentleman, and a computer game whiz kid. To the Diamonds that sparkle my soul, my beautiful great-grandchildren, Miles, Olivia, Braylon, Isabelle, Ava, Indiana, Annabel, Cullen, Declan, Cooper, Lilie, Sydney, Kayle, Kyson, Dawson, Kayla, Brooke, Sean, Casey, Brianna, and one in the oven. I look forward to a close relationship with each of you when you get to heaven. Funeral services will be held at CITY CHURCH, 4909 Buckeye Road, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2013, with Pastor Joel Alberti presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that who so ever believeth in him, should not perish but have everlasting life.

So sorry to hear of your mom's death. We get the Sunday paper up here and I just saw it yesterday. She was a great woman and cared deeply about her family.A special message to my "Little Brother" Jack. Your mom and I talked about you often. She was concerned about you and I told her not to worry, that you had the intestinal fortitude to handle anything. My wife, Cheryl, and I live "in the woods" in far North Wisc. and have twin sons, Ben and Sam, who are Air Force Pilots. Sam flys jets and Ben flys Helicopters. E-mail me when you can. Again sad to hear of your loss, but it's Heaven's gain - John

I am rejoicing that you are with the Lord Jesus Christ. I will surely miss you but will see you in heaven. To the Family my sincere sympathy to you. I have been away from Madison for 6 yrs due to the fact I got married and will not be able to attend the funeral. But I will be rejoicing in the celebration of your eternity with the Lord. In His Love, Jan McMullen

I am glad that over the past few years I was able to rekindle a (long distance)friendship with Rosie. As a child she was a "second" mother to me and a wonderful and caring person. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends at this time.
