MADISON-Eleanor “Ellie” (Barron) Rapacz, age 61, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, April 30, 2013. She was born on Nov. 26, 1951 in Mexico, Mo., the daughter of Charles W. and Flossie Monroe. She married Dallas Rapacz in Madison. Ellie worked at Belmont Nursing Home. She loved her four legged friends, Goldie and Jackie. Ellie was a devoted grandmother to her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Dallas; sons, Darwin R. (Sheila) Barron, Joseph R. (Carol Kemmerer), and Todd D. (Anne Detke); daughter, Laura (Gary) Nys; grandchildren, Rachel McGraw, Jake Kemmerer, Tracy Nys, Nick Barron, Jarett Kemmerer, Elizabeth Detke, Nathan Barron, Josh Detke, Destiny Barron, Hailey Barron, Jacqueline Nys, and Trevor Nys; and sisters, Patricia Wagner and Tina Bowden. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Linda Lund; and brother, Charles Monroe. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at Noon on Saturday, May 4, 2013, with Pastor Scott Werlein presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday. We love you mom and thank you for making us who we are today.
