MADISON-Daniel J. “Dan” Dennis, age 35, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at home after a brief time living with pancreatic cancer. He was born on Sept. 9, 1977, the son of Bill and Marcy (Alt) Dennis. Dan graduated from LaFollette High School in 1996. He married Brenda Alt on July 11, 2009. Dan worked for Zimbrick Acura for the last seven years, most recently as a service advisor. Until a few years ago, he enjoyed entertaining others as a D.J. for Prime Time Mobile D.J.’s Inc. Dan loved cars and was self-taught to rebuild and repair vehicles. He also enjoyed being outdoors, spending time on the water, and riding his motorcycle. Dan was known to be the life of any gathering. He is survived by his wife, Brenda; stepchildren, Matthew Maffet (fiancé, Danielle Willey) and Sara Maffet; grandchild, Nahaila; parents, Bill and Marcy Dennis; brothers, Bradley Dennis (Meagan McCarthy), Mike Dennis (Jen Mead), and Andy Dennis; niece, Emersen; nephews, Dylan, Braden, Noah and Aiden; aunt, Mary Alt; uncle, Lenny Williston; cousins, Lance and Dustin Williston; brothers-in-law, Jeff (Renee) Burnett and Brad (Ellyn) Burnett; sister-in-law, Pam (Kurt) Kallio; and faithful canine companion, Jackie. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Phillip and Lucille Alt; paternal grandparents, Harold and Elmira Dennis; parents-in-law, Floyd and Patricia Alt and Linda Burnett; aunt, Patricia Williston; and uncles, Richard and John Dennis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. PETER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5001 N. Sherman Avenue, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 1, 2013, with Monsignor Charles Schluter presiding. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2013, and also at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass on Monday.
