Obituary
MONONA-David L. “Scooter” Braley Jr., age 55, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, after a brief illness surrounded by family. He was born on Aug. 24, 1957, in Madison, the son of David and Elaine (Brown) Braley. Scooter graduated from Monona Grove High School in 1976. He moved to Colorado after graduation and back to Monona permanently in 1993. Scooter married Juanita Bollinger on May 30, 1993, in Monona. He worked as an electrician and maintenance technician for many years. Scooter enjoyed fishing, skiing, and anything outdoors. He was an avid Cubs, NASCAR, and Packers fan. Most of all, Scooter loved spending time with his family and friends, especially the children. He is survived by his wife, Juanita; three children, Becky (Nate) Wetherell, Linda (Tyrel) Foster, and Travis Braley; grandchildren, Zoe and Nate Wetherell; his parents; brothers, Mike Braley and Kirk (Joan) Braley; sister, Cathy Koch; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 6 p.m. on Monday, June 24, 2013, with the Rev. Nick Upthall presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until the time of service on Monday.
