David Guy Workman

Workman, David Guy MADISON–David Guy Workman, age 45, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014. He was born in Chicago, Ill. on Oct. 28, 1969, the son of Claude and Betty Workman. He was raised in Madison. David worked at Pellitteri Waste Systems for 16 years, until health problems arose. He loved to spend summers at the cottage home on the Wisconsin River. David also loved to take his kids to the races, movies, and boating. He also enjoyed golfing with his dad, brother and friends. David is survived by his loving wife, Joan; children, Ryan, Kyle, Cody and Jacy; grandson, Remy; his parents, Claude and Betty of Brent, Ala.; sister, Claudia (Mark) Harmon of Madison; brother, Rickey Workman of Poynette; longtime friend, Roger (Gretchen) Powell of Pardeeville; and many other nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents on both sides; and his aunt, Bertha Hammons. A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 3 p.m., on Friday Dec. 26, 2014. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday. There will be a celebration of David’s life immediately following.
