"What hangs and tings?" "Curtings!" She was my best friend's mom and a real jewel. Awesome laugh and sense of humor. She will be missed.

I used to tease my Mom because I never got a real Barbie doll a a kid just a cheap knock off. Fast forward 50 years and Mom is in an antique shop and asks the clerk, "do you have any original Barbie dolls for sale? My daughter never got one as a girl so I thought I'd try to find one" The clerk asks "How old is your daughter?" My Mom answers "55" The clerk says "Tell her to get over it!"

When I was little and my family still lived in Wisconsin, I used to go in her room while she was cooking. I would play with her antique brush and mirror. She would walk in and smile at me and then pull out her finesthats as well as her prettiest clothing and we would walk around her place modeling. Another favorite memory was the bird book she had. It had a huge picture of an Eagle on the front with it's mouth open. We used to stick our fingers in its mouth and pull the back going "ouch!" We would literally do that for hours!
