Blanche Ireland

IRELAND, BLANCHE LODI-Blanche Ireland, age 97, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 11, 2013 at Lodi Good Samaritan. She was born on December 19, 1915, in Waunakee, the daughter of Joseph and Maude (Shillinglaw) Hart. Blanche was united in marriage to Donovan Ireland on October 23, 1946 in the town of Westport. She worked at Alkar as an accounts payable clerk until her retirement. Blanche had a variety of interests and especially enjoyed bowling and dancing. She was a lifelong member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and the Lodi American Legion Post # 216 Auxillary. She is survived by her two sons, Martin and William Ireland; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Logan; nieces, nephews and many friends. In addition to her husband, Donovan Ireland, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell and Victor Hart and a sister, Etta Littel. Private family services were held.
