To Kathy's Family: Regardless of whether I met Kathy in the hallway at DHS, at the health club or Ken's Deli, she greeted me with her extraordinary smile. Her friendship was an asset and blessing to all who were privileged to know her and her energy and attitude will be missed by us all. God has blessed her with a place in Heaven. I hope it is of comfort to you all that Kathy was so highly regarded and her loss is so deeply felt. God bless her and you. Kathleen Luedtke Madison, East of Monona

Kathys daughter was in school with my daughter at MG. She always greeted me with that wonderful smile whether at a school event or if we ran into each other at the grocery store. She was a very genuine woman and I am so sorry to hear of her passing. My sympathy to her family. Johnna Swenson

Kathy and I shared one of God's greatest gifts, our grandchild, Kendall Marie. In blizzard conditions we showed up at that hospital in Green Bay, a bond between two women never to be broken. When all was good, and the new family went to bed exhausted, Kathy and I went to the only store that sold baby clothes that late at night, Walmart! I called her Thelma, and she called me Louise. So at 10:30pm, we drove that shopping cart, side by side, throwing everything pink and purple into that cart from the baby section, laughing and chanting, Kendall Marie! When I meet up with that beautiful woman in heaven, we will have to get together when more grand babies and great grand babies, and great great grand babies are born and thank God for uniting our children. Until we see her again, may God comfort and bring peace to Kathy's family, for she was so loved and will be sorely missed. Lovingly, Mary Zellmer, 'the other gramma'

To Kathy's Family, I would like to send you my condolences and am truly sorry for your loss. I went to HS with "Yelko" there was always laughter and that contagious smile of hers that lit up a room when she entered it. Vivacious, full of life and will be missed dearly, way too young to leave us... Sincerely, Chris Chaussee
