Delavee Butler-Marsh

I feel extremely blessed to have known this remarkable woman. She was and will always be a blessing to those of us who were fortunate enough to know her.. You all have my love and sympathy.

What a beautiful gift Delavee has given all of us, sharing God's wonderful love and showing us how to live life and also how to die with dignity and love. We have all been so very blessed with her presence in our lives. We will be forever thankful that she touched our lives so beautifully. If ever there was a saint on earth, it was Delavee. Pastor Stephen, I am so sorry that your mother has passed away. The short time we had to get to know her was not enough. I enjoyed the brief chats after services. I lost my own father on Christmas day in 1991, but in his case it was after Alzheimers and during the last two years, I only had one visit where by dumb luck it was one of those rare days when he was totally normal. When I got home and heard my niece's husband's voice on the phone, I knew before I called back what it was. We all were able to look on it as the best Christmas present he could have received. Hopefully if you try to see it in that light, even though with your mother it was quite a bit faster, it may help. I work Sunday and won't be able to be there, but my thoughts will be with you. I had the privilege of knowing Delavee at the Livestrong program at the East YMCA. She was the most caring person I've met. Heaven is even a better place now that she is there.
