Obituary

LINDBERG, DANIEL OREGON-Daniel Lindberg, age 54, died on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, after a 44 year battle with diabetes. He was born on Dec. 28, 1959, in Chippewa Falls, the son of Richard and Patricia Lindberg. Dan enjoyed having a good time. He was a fan of good 70’s music and was always available for a good John Wayne movie. Dan’s passion was golf, which he played as often as he could but never if the Packers were on the field. He also enjoyed the time he spent traveling with his son Travis and engaging in hilarious small talk with his fun loving brothers. Dan not only had a great sense of humor, but a serious side as well. Although he had many, the one attribute that stood out above all others, was the generosity of his time and talents helping others. In addition to his parents, survivors include his son, Travis; brothers, Gregory (Denise) and Paul (Cherie); nephews, Evan, Noah and Zachary; and niece Julia. There is also a goldfish of uncertain lineage. Memorial Services will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL HOME, 1150 Park Street, Oregon, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014. Visitation will be at the funeral home from Noon until the time of the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, South Town Office Park, Building 4, 6400 Gisholt Dr, Suite 213, Monona, WI 53713. The Lindberg family has been blessed by Dan’s presence and he will be missed. Our comfort comes in knowing that his battle is now over and he is at rest in the arms of the Lord. I played quite a bit of golf with Dan, and we both had sight issues, so it was kinda funny not finding our shots together when we thought we hit good ones. They really could have gone anywhere, but he was fun to play golf with, and to work with at K-D. Sorry for your loss, the best to the family. Ron Hoffman

Dan was the kind of guy that always had time for everybody. Dan also made sure we were looking at both sides of every person or situation to keep us grounded. Every one of my memories of our gang inside and out of high school puts a big smile on my face. Dan, you will be missed and I hope you're in a better place. Lindberg's, I am so sorry for your loss, your son, your brother, our friend was a great person, a great man......Bill Conner
