Obituary

WYOCENA – Trudy Weber, age 76, passed away with her daughter and son-in-law at her side on Dec. 15, 2013, after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s. She was born in Milwaukee and raised her family in Menomonee Falls. Trudy worked at Wisconsin Lutheran Child and Family Services for 25 years, first as a Nursing Assistant and then as Manager of Supply Services. Trudy enjoyed her work, especially her co-workers. Trudy strived to make each occasion special, and derived great joy in finding the perfect gifts for others. She enjoyed taking trips to Florida and Las Vegas, old movies, and playing cards. Trudy loved dogs, and lavished affection on her family’s pets as if they were her own. She also loved music. Her favorites were Barbara Streisand, Elvis, and Neil Diamond. Her favorite song was “The Way We Were”, a sad irony for someone later stricken with Alzheimer’s. Trudy’s daughter is thankful to the Aster Retirement Community and the Columbia Health Care Center for their wonderful care. Their hard work and compassion are appreciated more than they will ever know. Her daughter also thanks Columbus Community Hospital for their care during multiple ER visits and a hospital stay. No formal services will be held, but Trudy’s life will be celebrated privately. Her daughter requests that any memorials in Trudy’s honor be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association, 7818 Big Sky Drive, Suite 109, Madison, WI 53719. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com. Gunderson East Funeral & Cremation Service 5203 Monona Dr. (608) 221-5420

Mom, I sit her thinking of the days gone by. Wishing that we could just sit by the pool here in Florida with Tikki and your glass of wine ! We had some of the best times just talking about my college days, Boofy and how much I appreciated the love and guidance you gave me throughout my life. I grew up with a single parent who gave more of herself than any two parents ever could ! You were always there for me and worked so hard to make sure I always had the best of everything ! I always looked so forward to your visits knowing that we would shop, talk and watch movies . Tikki , loved her morning breakfast "snack" with you especially when you stayed with us for that year and a half ! I will always miss Sunday conversations especially during Packer games ! I will especially miss hearing you say "so forth and on" we always laughed about that every time you said it . You are in a better place holding Tikki waiting for the rest of us to get there. I just want to say thanks mom, a day will not go by that i don't look up to the sky and say "I LOVE AND MISS YOU !!! Full of Tears, Love your son, Ken

A great memory for me was when we all had hamburgers and french fries at Ken's house. I loved the way your face lit up when you shared memories of you and your son. The same kindness, love and caring he shows when he speaks of you. The phone conversations about good food and how you won at bingo and of course which Neil Diamond song was his best. You will be greatly missed. With much love, Charli
