O’DONNELL, RUBY MARIE (RULE)
MILWAUKEE/MADISON- On Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, Ruby Marie Rule O’Donnell joined her husband, George L. O’Donnell, and her parents, William Roy and Alta Rule. Ruby is survived and endlessly appreciated by her children, Dierdre O’Donnell, Robert O’Donnell and Mary O’Donnell; and grandchildren, David Fulkerson, William O’Donnell and Jill Braun. She is further survived by her great-grandchildren, Steven, Jessica and Wyatt; and by her dear sister, Elsie Rule Masters. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Lola Rule Row, Melvin Rule, Aletha Booth, Elden Rule, Norman Rule and Elmer Rule. Ruby dearly loved all her family and provided endless support for her husband and children. She and her husband, George, were dedicated advocates for people with intellectual disabilities. At Central Wisconsin Centre for the developmentally disabled, there is a building named O’Donnell Hall in honor of George and Ruby’s contributions. The Centre continues to provide world class care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to VOR, an organization that supports people with intellectual disabilities. Contributions may be made online at www.vor.net or sent to VOR, 836 South Arlington Heights, Road, #351, Elk Grove Village, Ill. 60007. All good has followed Ruby, and her family members are grateful for Ruby’s contribution in creating fortunate circumstances within every situation, wherever she has lived. A Memorial Service will be held at CAPITAL LAKES, 110 South Henry Street, Madison, at Noon on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014. All are invited to stay after the Memorial Service for a time of remembrance.
