Michael Lee "Mike" Syvrud

WINDSOR-Michael Lee “Mike” Syvrud, age 28, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, at home due to complications of asthma and pneumonia. He was born on September 30, 1985, the son of Greg and Vicki (Horge) Syvrud. Mike enjoyed being around friends and family. He had a keen sense for fixing and repairing anything with a motor, from cars to snowmobiles. Mike was a loving and supporting son and brother. He is survived by his parents, Greg and Vicki; sisters, Melissa (Matt) Thompson and Sarah (fiancé Andrew Brummel) Syvrud; his children, Dustin and Bradley; nieces, Samantha and Abigail; paternal grandparents, Lee and Phyllis Syvrud; paternal great-grandfather, Larry Koeppe; and loved by many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Roger Horge; and maternal grandmother, Sharon LaReau. Funeral Services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 27, 2014. The time spent with Michael will always be cherished in our hearts.
