Obituary

CARDARELLA, ELIZABETH J. “BETTY” MADISON- Elizabeth J. “Betty” Cardarella, age 88, of Madison, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 3, 2014, at Kindred Hearts. She was born on Aug. 17, 1925, in Madison, the daughter of James and Goldine Gross. Betty was the beloved wife of Carl Cardarella and would have celebrated their 68th anniversary in June. She waitressed for many years in the Madison area before retiring from Hoffman House. Betty was outgoing, loved spending time with her family and enjoyed shopping. She was a wonderful loving mother to four children. Betty is survived by her loving husband, Carl; a son, Richard (Vicki) Cardarella; and daughters, Jean (Rick) Kupp and Cheryl Cardarella; three grandchildren, Rick, Joe and Ryan. She is further survived by her great-grandchildren; and many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, James; and a brother, Richard. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, 2014. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from Noon until the time of the service on Sunday. Burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare.
