Obituary
MADISON – Patricia (Pat) Kay (Stolen) Carlson passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014 from a private almost two-year battle with melanoma liver cancer. Pat married her best friend and the love of her life, Dave Carlson, on Valentine’s Day in 1997. Pat enjoyed golfing and after retirement traveling. She is survived by her husband, Dave, his four children, Nikki Perrine (Ron), Molly Higgins, Colby and Nils, her two sisters, Shirley Worl and Nancy Best, and her niece and nephew, Tammy Worl and Dustin Best. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martha and Andy Stolen and her brother-in-law, Roger Worl. Special thanks to U.W. Melanoma Oncology, especially Dr. Albertini and his staff, and Agrace Hospice, and special thanks to my sister, Shirley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the U.W. Carbone Cancer Clinic. Shirley and family......condolences to all of you. I remember bowling with Pat many years ago at Northgate Lanes. Then we all seemed to move to the game of golf. Had many good times over the years. RIP Pat.

So sorry for your loss. Pat was a friend and classmate all the way from elementary school through high school in Monona. We had a chance to reconnect through mutual friends about 20 years ago. She was exactly the same- fun loving, adventurous and kind.

Pat - memories of Monona Grove High School come back full force when looking at your picture. You haven't changed since that girl I knew in GAA sports - basketball, etc. Things sure have changed - but you remained the same sweet, sensitive girl I knew. Then I got to know Shirley and Roger from Oscar Mayer work days and we would talk about you (all good, of course) and just reminisce. RIP Pat!
