Allen, Joyce “Jo” Sun Prairie / Fitchburg – Joyce “Jo” Allen, age 75, of Fitchburg, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014, at home. She was born on Aug. 17, 1939, in Pollard, Ark., the daughter of Charles and Geneva Barnwell. She married Donald Allen on May 18, 1957, in Garden Grove, Calif. Jo is survived by her daughters, Julie (Bill Walters) and Doreen (Dan Minkus); her son, Russell (Deb Pattengale); daughter-in-law, Mary; grandchildren, Jeremy, Lyndsy, Rose Walters, and Rachel Chamberlain; great-grandchildren, Jakob and Elissa; and a sister, Sue Rahon. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON FITCHBURG FUNERAL HOME, 2950 Chapel Valley Road, Fitchburg, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m., on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014, with a reception location to be announced after the visitation.
