Victorene Irene Nealey

MADISON – Victorene Irene Nealey, age 87, of Madison, passed away on Oct. 11, 2014, in Madison. She was born on Feb. 19, 1927, in Belmont, the daughter of Elwood and Fannie Nealey. Victorene graduated from East High School and worked as a cosmetologist at Rennebohm's and sold coats at Carmen's on the Square. She enjoyed dancing and spending time with her nieces and nephews, talking about anything and everything. Victorene was tremendously close to her sister, Ady and her children. Her nieces and nephews considered her their second mother. Victorene's entire family was a very important part of her life and she will be dearly missed by all of them. Victorene is survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is joined together in eternity with her parents; sisters, Leillian Cummings and Ineas Nealey; and her brother, Elwood Nealey Jr. Victorene and her sister, Aelaide, were inseparable in life, so their lives will be celebrated together at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 3 p.m., on Sunday, March 20, 2016. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the celebration on Sunday. She has been interred at Sunset Memory Gardens.
