Scott "Buddha" Ahrens

Ahrens, Scott “Buddha” MADISON-Scott “Buddha” Ahrens, age 53, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014. He was born Oct. 10, 1961, in Madison, the son of Donald and Verna Ahrens. He married Joyce Pahmeier on May 24, 2004, in Rice Lake. Buddha was employed at Super Walmart in Monona as a service writer for many years. He loved fishing, camping, hunting, Packers and Badger sports. He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce; mother, Verna Ahrens; brother, Tim Ahrens; and sister, Tammy Ahrens; adopted daughter, Erica Turley (Chad Schmelzer) and her children Dylan, and Mackenzie; two stepsons, Jeff and Philip Schmelzkopf; two grandchildren, Brandi Blum and Lucas Lemke; two sisters-in-law, Donna (Robert) Graves and Linda Zuehls. He was preceded in death by his dad; brothers-in-law, Richard, Roger and Rodney Brown; parents-in-law, Alfred and Alice Brown; and family dogs, Muffers and Lady. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014. Burial will be at Blooming Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m.-8 p.m., on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, and at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday. Gone, but never forgotten.
