Pauline Gangstad

McFARLAND/MADISON–Pauline Gangstad, age 92, of McFarland, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014. She was born on Aug. 21, 1922, in Hazel Green, the daughter of Elmer and Myra Tyler. Pauline graduated from Madison East High School in 1942. She married Donald Gangstad in Madison and they were married for over 50 years. Pauline liked needle point and was an avid reader, enjoying romance and history novels. She was a long-time Loyal Order of Moose Club No. 291 member and an avid Packers, Brewers and Badgers fan. Pauline is survived by her children, David Gangstad and Marsha Bakken; grandson, Aaron (Kristi) Bakken and their children Lily and Lucas Bakken; grandson, Arick (Katie) Bakken; and sister-in-law, Doris Tyler. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; brother, Carl Tyler; and sister, Maxine Gebhard. A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 11 a.m., on Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, with Pastor Jerry Pribbenow presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday. Memorials may be made to the Loyal Order of Moose Club.
